HRV as a Predictor & Intervention for Pain & GI Dysfunction

May 23, 2023 - 20:00 (EDT)
45 minutes

Overview

Heart Rate Variability (HRV) is a well-researched indicator of the balance between the sympathetic and the parasympathetic nervous systems.

The balance of these two systems has a large impact on the performance of the GI system and can influence pain, motility, and inflammation.

Working with HRV can not only predict dysfunction but is an excellent metric to guide interventions in different domains.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this webinar, each participant will be able to:

  1. Describe the basics of HRV and its application to GI Dysfunction.
  2. Interpret how HRV can predict dysfunction.
  3. Utilize HRV information to guide appropriate intervention for GI Dysfunction, pain, and motility.
