In this live webinar hosted by the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), we will discuss common concerns in people with advanced cancer and the role of physiotherapy in their care.

Shirin Shallwani will present the findings of her two recent dissertation research studies; one examining the clinical practices and perspectives of Canadian physiotherapists related to advanced cancer, and the other exploring the experiences of people with metastatic cancer related to leisure physical activity.

Shirin Shallwani is a physiotherapist and certified lymphedema therapist, currently pursuing her Ph.D. at the University of Ottawa School of Rehabilitation Sciences. Her research interests include exploring physical activity and rehabilitation strategies in oncology, as well as investigating lymphedema risk reduction and management approaches.
